Jaxton Su

Working between the mediums of painting, installation and video art, Jaxton attempts to bridge metaphorical parallels between the sublimity of nature and the unfathomable human mind. He is intrigued by the wondrous ways that the various natural phenomena resonate with our subjective selves. Exploring these ideas through surreal and emblematic spaces or subjects in his experimental works that play around with the notions of gamification and hyperreality, he hopes to compose various narratives that reflect upon particular issues in our contemporary society. As a visual artist who works intuitively, he enjoys experimenting with the materialities of different mediums and objects, drawing inspirations from their perceived notions and origins. He is currently interested in exploring the spatial possibilities pertaining to private and virtual realms in our hyperconnected world.
